Preston has over 15 years of experience in the energy, infrastructure, and transportation sectors serving in multiple corporate finance roles including mergers and acquisitions, treasury and capital markets, and investor relations. From 2011 to 2020, he served in several leadership positions for Trinity Industries (NYSE: TRN), a publicly-traded company, managing over $1 billion in secured and unsecured financing transactions, $700 million in acquisitions within the midstream energy, transmission and distribution, renewable energy, and transportation sectors, and financial communication and disclosure efforts to banking and institutional investors for multiple strategic transactions including a $2 billion spin-off of a portfolio of businesses.
Prior to that, he served in an advisory role for a small consulting and investment advisory firm providing post-issuance bond compliance and interest rate swap advisory services. Preston graduated with a BBA in Finance and Risk Management & Insurance from Baylor University.

Colby Mitchell grew up in a multi-generational ranching family in West Texas, and has been a professional landman for the past 13 years, working in multiple oil and gas fields including the Barnett, Eagle-Ford and Permian Basin. Colby is a member of the American Association of Professional Landmen, and a Texas Real Estate Commission license holder. After graduating from Tarleton State University, Colby went to work for Atmos Energy and Energy Transfer, as a ROW agent before going to the Eagle-Ford with EOG Resources.
In his 10 years as a landman for EOG Resources, Colby was responsible for water, gas, oil and electric easement acquisitions; surface site and water well agreements. He also worked extensively with lease agreements when working as the landman for EOG’s drilling department, dealing in drilling location staking and construction. Also, while working for EOG’s developmental drilling group, he worked hand in hand with the environmental department, focusing on recycle and remediation of water and oil-based drilling fluids. Colby has built a reputation of honesty, integrity and relatability with the landowners he works with, and the people he works for.
Cole has nearly two decades of executive experience in the energy space and sits on multiple boards. He currently serves as Chairman & CEO of Bridgelink Investments, concentrating on strategic growth for all entities. Since January of 2019, Cole successfully transitioned to focus on growing the family office and development portion of the businesses where he played a major role in the day-to-day growth of each asset. Under Cole’s leadership as Chairman, the family office has amassed a total of $150M of assets and company shares.
Included in the BI portfolio is Enhanced Midstream, a water midstream asset that alone has an estimated value of over $100M by the end of 2022 due to contracts and a backlog of projects secured for 2021, 2022 and beyond. Bridgelink Investments is well-positioned to expand over the next 10 years as a leading development and investment company. Cole has demonstrated the oversight to lead the Bridgelink family office from a few million-dollar investments, to well on its way to having over $1B under management by 2023.
